atlas of the obverse combines pyschoanalysis, place theory, and stochastic notation to recover a science of subjectivity

atlas of the obverse, in installments

The Atlas of the Obverse is a web-published manuscript (2012) composed of 99 texts and accompanying "maps" based on the Lacanian theme of extimité — the idea that subjectivity is constituted "out there," in a presumably material world radically undermined by cathexis (investment). The consequences of Vico's "imaginative universal," the original act of cathexis, has not been realized by Lacanians, nor have Lacan's points on the matter been given even minimal space within the Vico lexicon.

Texts and "maps" are paired as "plates," map on the left. The atlas e-book is available on-line, but that would spoil the suspense.
